My first real meal...

Here in Chengdu, they are famous for spicy food. If you like spicy food, I think you will like Chengdu...but do you think you can handle it? One of their famous dish is call "Hot Pot", which is literally HOT(both spicy and tempature wise). It's a big pot of soup constantly boiling and you order de-frosted meat or fresh pre-prepaired food and put it in the pot of soup to cook it. Once it's done cooking, you scoop it out to your own bowl to eat it. The soup and spicy oil will put flavor in your food while it's cooking and you can also add extra spice or dressings on the side. There are a whole list of different meat, vegi, tofu, seafood, and a lot more that you can pick which I can't even name.

Sometimes for special occasions my parents will make this hot pot at home and to me, it's one of the best times our family had spent together. I love having hot pot with my family because we're all together cooking and eating out of the same pot!

HI Howard!! That looks very interesting and I'm glad to hear there's vegis and tofu!

It sounds like you're missing your family a lot right now, and I guess the hot pot brings back memories. Are you communicating with your family?

Have you found a church?

Hi Bibi! Yes I do miss the good times w/ my familia....and to make you proud, I ordered lots of vegis that day! HEHE of course I had to have my beef and lamb too.

No I haven't found a church.... Majority of the people here are atheists especially the younger generation. I'm going to blog about it more later.
